I am a 28 year old Probation Officer in Sudbury, Ontario. I grew up in a small town, Elliot Lake, Ontario, where I was very active as an adolescent, playing a variety of sports such as running, volleyball, and basketball. My interest in training first peaked in high school. I was a member of the track and field team, as a sprinter, when I decided to include weight training into my workout.

A short period of time went by, when I noticed significant changes in my physique. It was at this time that I realized, I enjoyed challenging my body to reach new levels. I actually surprised myself at the amount of strength I had in such a petite body. After high school, my interest in training ceased, and I went on to Carleton University in Ottawa, ON, furthering my education, and finding a career. Not long after, I noticed my body changing for the worst, and started to live an unhealthy lifestyle.

One day I decided to get myself back into the gym and work hard to get my body back into the shape it once was. I worked hard, but wanted to gain more lean muscle, but was not quite sure how to do this. Luckily, I finally met my husband in 2003, who happened to be a competitive bodybuilder. From that point forward, I worked hard, ate properly, and saw drastic changes in my physique. We train together 5-6 days a week and live a very healthy lifestyle.

It was this past year that I decided to take my training to a different level and compete in my first figure competition. It was a great goal, and on November 10, 2007, I won my first competition in women's figure short category as well as the overall winner. It was the best feeling in the world, setting a goal and achieving success. I have currently decided to continue to push myself even further, preparing for my second competition in June 2008. I feel great about my commitment to this lifestyle and it's even better when what I've done can help to inspire and motivate others!!
